Simple Way to Prepare Delicious Zong zi

Hello everybody, it is Brad, welcome to our recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, zong zi. One of my favorites food recipes. This time, I am going to make it a little bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

They are cooked by steaming or boiling. In the Western world, they are also known as rice. Zongzi in Canton is the representative style in southern China, and most of them are in pyramid shape, smaller than the ones in northern areas. The fillings of fresh meat, red bean paste and egg yolk are popular.

Zong zi is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It’s appreciated by millions daily. Zong zi is something which I’ve loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look fantastic.

To begin with this recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook zong zi using 20 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Zong zi:
  1. Take Rice
  2. Prepare 250 g glutinous rice (rinse and soak for minimum 4 hours)
  3. Take 1 tbsp soy sauce
  4. Take Garlic
  5. Get Oil
  6. Take Filling
  7. Take 5 mushroom (cut four)
  8. Get 3 slices pork belly (thinly chopped) - soak in 1tbsp soy sauce
  9. Get 2 chinese sausages (cut diced)
  10. Take 7 salted egg yolk
  11. Prepare 2 Garlic (finely chopped)
  12. Make ready 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  13. Prepare 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  14. Prepare 1 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  15. Take Salt
  16. Take Pepper
  17. Take Sugar
  18. Get Oil
  19. Get leaves Bamboo
  20. Get Prepare 3 for each (soak at least 30 min)

Zongzi is a traditional dish that is eaten all year round, but especially during the Dragon Boat Festival. This is the delicious, chock-full of ingredients Taiwan savoury version, a home-style recipe that makes as good a zongzi as I have eaten anywhere. Zongzi (粽子, Chinese sticky rice dumpling) is a traditional food for celebrating Duanwu festival (端午节, aka Dragon boat festival) which is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar (The exact date varies on a regular calendar each year). The Dragon Boat Race isn't a tradition in the North-west of China where I grew up.

Instructions to make Zong zi:
  1. I soaked the rice and the leaves for 24 hours
  2. After, drain the rice, add soy sauce and mix. Heat a pan, add oil and fry garlic. Put the rice in and stir for a while until it's fragrant.
  3. For the filling, heat a pan, bring the chinese sausage in, pork belly in, add a bit of oil, fry the garlic, and followed with other ingredients until it's cooked.
  4. Cut the edge of the bamboo leaves and fold as follow. Fill with rice, filling, then rice again until it's full and firm.
  5. Fold the over part of the leaves into the rice side until it's triangle, then tight it with the twine.
  6. Soak it in a water and bring boil for minimum 4 hours. Or use pressure cooker to save some times.

Zongzi (粽子, Chinese sticky rice dumpling) is a traditional food for celebrating Duanwu festival (端午节, aka Dragon boat festival) which is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the Chinese lunar calendar (The exact date varies on a regular calendar each year). The Dragon Boat Race isn't a tradition in the North-west of China where I grew up. In Zongzi 's legends, a flood dragon is depicted as a powerful creature living in the river. Some said that Zongzi is a gift for propitiating the dragon and beseeching protection for Qu Yuan's body. Some said that Zongzi with Argy-wormwood leaves and colorful strings was created to scary dragons and feed fishes.
