  6. Take 2 tbsp soy sauce
  7. Take 1 tbsp sugar

Cook an additional couple of minutes until flavors blend (tofu will pick up flavors!). In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the cooked rice, crumbled tofu, peas, corn, soy sauce and pepper. Lightly fried brown rice with egg tofu, carrots, corn, peas, scallions & sesame seeds.

Instructions to make Crumbled Tofu and Carrot With Sesame:
  1. Drain the firm tofu, wrap in kitchen paper towels and place on a plate lined with disposable chopsticks as shown in the photo. Microwave for 3 minutes.
  2. Finely julienne the carrot.
  3. Put the julienned carrot in a plastic bag, microwave for 1 and a half minutes, and empty out into a sieve.
  4. Lightly wipe off any dirty from the shiitake mushrooms, sprinkle with a little sake (not listed in the ingredients)and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave for 1 minute, then finely julienne when cooled.
  5. Put all the flavoring ingredients - sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, vinegar, salt - into a bowl and mix to combine.
  6. Put the drained tofu from Step 1 into the bowl while crumbling it with your hands.
  7. Add the lightly squeezed carrot and the julienned shiitake, and mix well.
  8. Put in a very generous amount of ground sesame seeds and mix well.
  9. Plate, and you're done!

Add the cooked rice, crumbled tofu, peas, corn, soy sauce and pepper. Lightly fried brown rice with egg tofu, carrots, corn, peas, scallions & sesame seeds. Topped with fried tofu and smothered with our vegan take on the classic Chinese/American sweet & tangy sauce. Break tofu into several large pieces and add them to the boiling water. When slightly cooled down, cover the tofu in the sieve with kitchen paper and press down gently to squeeze some water out, then cool.
