Hello everybody, it’s John, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, tofu soboro (stir-fried crumbles). It is one of my favorites. This time, I’m gonna make it a little bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

Tofu Soboro (Stir-fried Crumbles) is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions every day. It’s easy, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Tofu Soboro (Stir-fried Crumbles) is something which I’ve loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

In fact, it's rather like the tofu version of iri tamago, but with more flavor and texture. 'Soboro' means crumbled meat. 'Soboro' dishes are cooked with minced Meat or crumbled Tofu. I have shared several 'Soboro' recipes on this website, and they are all quite popular. This is another 'Soboro' dish in curry flavour. The ingredients needed to make Tofu Soboro (Stir-fried Crumbles):
  1. Prepare 300 grams Firm tofu (or grilled tofu)
  2. Take 1 tbsp Ginger, finely shredded or finely chopped
  3. Take 5 grams Bonito flakes
  4. Take 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  5. Get 1 tbsp Mirin
  6. Take 1 tsp Beet sugar or raw cane sugar

Soak Shiitake in water and drain when soft. Heat Oil in a frypan and cook Beef Mince, sliced Ginger, rehydrated Shiitake, Onion and Carrot. Instructions to make Tofu Soboro (Stir-fried Crumbles):
  1. Wrap the tofu in paper towels, and microwave at 600 W for 2.5 minutes.
  2. While the tofu is in the microwave, finely julienne or chop up the ginger. (1 tablespoon is just a guideline. Adjust the amount to taste. I like to use lots!)
  3. When you microwave the tofu, a lot of water will come out of as shown here. Press down on it with a flat plate or a plastic storage container to drain off the water. (The tofu is hot so be careful!)
  4. Once the water has drained from the tofu, the tofu should have shrunk to half its original thickness.
  5. Tear the well drained tofu into a frying pan (don't put any oil) with your hands.
  6. Turn the heat on low, and mash the tofu with a wooden spatula. When it has become fine and crumbly, add the rest of the ingredients.
  7. Turn the heat up to high, and mix the ingredients together while letting the moisture evaporate. When almost all the moisture is gone and the mixture starts to make crackling sounds, it's done!
  8. Here's a healthy 3-color soboro using this tofu soboro.
  9. If you cook off the moisture properly, it won't clump up if you store it in the refrigerator and will remain crumbly.
