Classic Chili is one of the most well liked of current trending foods in the world. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Classic Chili is something which I’ve loved my entire life. They are nice and they look fantastic.

Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, coriander and oregano. Add ground beef and cook until browned; drain. Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings.

The ingredients needed to make Classic Chili:
  1. Get Veggies
  2. Take 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for sautéing)
  3. Take 1 large white onion (chopped)
  4. Prepare 2 bell peppers - 1 red & 1 green (chopped)
  5. Prepare 1/2 cup celery (chopped)
  6. Get Meat
  7. Make ready 2 lb lean ground beef
  8. Take Sauce
  9. Get 30 oz tomato sauce (no/low sodium)
  10. Take 28 oz crushed tomatoes (undrained)
  11. Take 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  12. Prepare 3 tbsp chili powder
  13. Make ready 1 tbsp garlic powder
  14. Take 2 tsp ground cumin
  15. Prepare 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  16. Prepare 1 tsp smoked paprika
  17. Prepare 1 tsp chipotle (or regular) pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  18. Prepare (to taste) salt
  19. Make ready (to taste) pepper
  20. Get 1 cup water (if needed)
  21. Prepare Beans (OPTIONAL)
  22. Get 32 oz red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)

This classic chili recipe is hearty, full of delicious meat, tomatoes, spices, and is the perfect, easy chili. Place the ground beef in a large pot and throw in the garlic. Cook over medium heat until browned. Drain off the excess fat, and then pour in the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt.

Steps to make Classic Chili:
  1. Prep ingredients.
  2. Heat a soup kettle or Dutch oven. Once hot, heat the oil in prep for sautéing the veggies.
  3. Add the Veggies and sauté until tender. ~15 min.
  4. If you need the room, remove the Veggies from the pan. Brown the Meat. ~15 min.
  5. When the meat is brown, drain the juices and oil from the pan.
  6. Stir in the Sauce ingredients with the Meat and Veggies. - - TIP: start light on the salt and pepper. More can be added later, to taste. Only add the water if the consistency is looking thicker than you prefer.
  7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  8. The flavor develops more over time, so if you have the time, continue simmering for another 30-120 minutes (or more!)
  9. Taste periodically through cooking. Add salt, pepper, and/or water as needed.
  10. If you're someone who likes Beans in their chili, add them 10-20 minutes before you're ready to eat. Simmer until the Beans are heated through. - - Otherwise, skip this step!
  11. Dish up and enjoy!!!

Cook over medium heat until browned. Drain off the excess fat, and then pour in the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt. Enjoy this full-flavored chili seasoning that'll heat up your holiday gift-giving. The mix is on the mild side, which is nice for those who aren't partial to extra-spicy food.
