(Keep remaining wrappers covered with a damp paper towel until ready to use.) Fold bottom corner over filling. Egg rolls are fried, savory rolls, generally filled with cabbage chopped Chinese roast pork. The wheat flour based wrappers form small bubbles when fried, giving them their signature look.

Steps to make Egg rolls:
  1. Preheat oven 375 or you can fry in oil
  2. Mix water and flour set aside
  3. Then mix the cole slaw mix, soy sauce, ginger, and your choice of meat
  4. Lay egg roll wrappers in diamonds shape and put 2 spoon fulls of mix in center of egg roll and wrap fold the left and right sides in toward mix the roll bottom corner up til top corners left (this is where the flour water mixture comes in) use finger tip and dip into flour mix and whip the top corner and fold to create a sticky hold
  5. Place in oven and cook for 20 to 25 min or until cooked (goldfish brown)
  6. Or if frying in oil use electric skillet or cook in deep frying pan (on medium heat) or deep fryer until golden brown

The egg rolls are held together by a little beaten egg, and then they're ready to hit the hot oil. If you don't want to fry your egg rolls right away, you can arrange them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, cover them tightly with plastic, and store them in the fridge for up to one day. Sauté garlic and onions until tender.
