Caramel Custard is an exotic Bread Pudding, which has a gorgeous layer of Caramel on top of Custard. This Caramel Custard is made without Eggs and in the Steamer. Make caramel in a cake tin or pan. Make a thick custard and pour over the caramel.

Steps to make Eggless Steamed Caramel Custard:
  1. Heat up the sugar in a non-stick pan on low flame. Spread sugar evenly and let it start melting without stirring it. Once sugar starts melting, rotate the pan and let sugar melt completely and keep rotating the pan till you get golden brown coloured sugar caramel. Switch off the flame and immediately transfer the caramel to the mould and rotate the mould and keep aside the mould so that caramel gets set.
  2. Now in a mixer grinder jar take milk, condensed milk, curd, custard powder and vanilla essence. Blend everything together to get smooth mixture. Pour the mixture in the prepared caramel mould.
  3. Meanwhile prepare the steamer and heat up the water. Carefully place the prepared mould in the steamer. Cover with the lid and steam for about 20 to 25 mins on medium flame. You can also check by inserting knife or tooth pick. If it comes out clean then Custard is steamed completely.
  4. Remove the mould from the steamer and let it cool down completely. Once cooled keep the mould in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours for caramel to set completely. Once set gently unmould the custard.
  5. Pour some sugar caramel on top of the custard. Eggless Steamed Caramel Custard is ready to serve. Enjoy !!
