  10. Prepare 2 tbsp coriander powder
  11. Prepare 1 tbsp ginger paste
  12. Take 2 tbsp ground garam-masala
  13. Get 2 tbsp red chili powder
  14. Take 1 tbsp ghee
  15. Get 3-4 tbsp mustard oil
Instructions to make Mochar ghonto (banana flower curry):
  1. Boil the shredded banana flower and drain out the excess water.
  2. Golden fry the potatoes and keep aside.
  3. Put some oil in a pan and add the bay-leaf, paanchforon, green chilis and the masalas (cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder) and stir well. Add in the soaked chickpeas and shredded coconut and continue stirring.
  4. Finally add in the banana flower and mix well with the spices, continue stirring till the oil separates. Add in the garam masala and ghee and simmer for some more time. Serve hot with white rice.
