  2. Take 3 grated tomatoes

In Delhi though, we usually make Chole, which is very similar to Chana Masala but uses a special blend of spices. Both are made with white chickpeas but chana masala is made using basic everyday Indian spices. Masala chai is a sweet and spicy drink that can be enjoyed all year round, served either piping hot from the stove or nice and chilled from the fridge.

Instructions to make Masala chane:
  1. In a cooker add chane and tea bag and boil.
  2. In a pan heat oil and add tez pata and jeera and stir.
  3. Now add onion, ginger garlic paste, and roast for 4/5mins.
  4. Add tomato paste and mix well.
  5. Add spices and cook.
  6. Add chane to the gravy and Cook for 10/15 mins.
  7. Add coriander leaves and serve with (chappatis, bread, kulcha).
