  8. Take 1/3 tsp turmeric powder

  11. Prepare 1 tsp coriander powder
  12. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  13. Get 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  14. Get 1 tsp crushed Kasoori methi
  15. Make ready As needed Chole masala
  16. Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  17. Take 4 black pepper
  18. Prepare 1 brown cardamom
  19. Take 3 cloves
  20. Prepare 1 dry red chilli
  21. Prepare as per taste Salt
  22. Get 2+ 1 Tbsp oil and ghee
  23. Take For Kulcha
  24. Make ready 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  25. Prepare 2 Tbsp curd
  26. Get 1 tsp sugar
  27. Get 1/3 tsp baking soda
  28. Prepare 1 tsp oil
  29. Take as per taste Salt
  30. Prepare 1/2 cup whey (chana water)
  31. Get As required Wheat flour to roll kulcha
  32. Make ready as required Butter/oil for kulcha
  33. Take as required Nigella seeds
  34. Take As needed- Green coriander
  35. Make ready To garnish
  36. Take as required Onion salad
  37. Prepare as needed Pickle
  38. Prepare 2 Green chilli

Chole Kulche Most famous Indian breakfast food. It is basically a combination of spicy chick peas (Chole) and po. Chole kulcha is popular street food in India. The tasty chole curry served with soft and fluffy plain kulcha combo loved by all kinds of age groups.

Steps to make Chole Kulcha:
  1. When pressure cooker cools down,discard the tea bag.
  2. Roughly grind the chole masala ingredients (except cumin seeds) in mortar and pastle. Heat oil and ghee in kadhai. Add cumn seeds and allow to crackle.
  3. Add the semi ground masala and saute on low flame till you get an aroma.
  4. Add chopped onions green chilli and ginger. Saute till onion gets translucent. Add tomato puree. Cook till the masala dries up.
  5. Add 2 Tbsp water and rest other dry masala from turmeric powder to kasoori methi. Saute till oil separates from masala.
  6. Mix the boiled chana with masala. Adjust the salt. Add water, cover and cook for 10 minutes on low flame. - Chole is ready now.
  7. To make kulcha mix all ingredients. Add whey little at a time to make the dough. Use 1 tsp oil on the dough.
  8. Cover the dough with wet kitchen towel and allow to raise (one hour)
  9. After 1 hour again knead the dough. Make 10 balls.
  10. Roll out with pin to make kulcha. Use kalonji (nigella seeds) and chopped coriander or make plain kulcha as you like.
  11. Cook both the sides on medium flame and brush with butter. The wheat flour kulchas are ready.
  12. Serve delicious hot chole kulcha with salad and pickle. - - *Add salt after boiling of chickpeas. The salt arrests the softness of chole. - * Using tea bag - helps in digestion.
