  2. Take 2 tbsp chana dal

  8. Prepare Masala
  9. Take 2 onions chopped finely

  11. Make ready 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  12. Take 1 tsp green chilli paste
  13. Prepare 1 tsp dhania powder
  14. Take 1 tsp jeera powder
  15. Make ready 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  16. Get 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  17. Prepare 1 tsp chana masala
  18. Make ready 1 1/2 tsp anaardana powder
  19. Get 4 tbsp oil
  20. Take as per taste Salt

Different ways to serve Pindi chole. Well, indeed, Pindi chole goes well with kulcha and bhatura and poori. But it goes very well with rice. Just mix it with hot rice with a dollop of ghee, folks; you are in food heaven for sure.

Instructions to make Pindi Chole and Poori:
  1. Soak the chana and chana dal overnight. Next morning throw the water,wash it and add enough water to cover the chana,add cardamom, cinnamon, laung, star anise and tea bag. Pressure cook till the chanas are soft
  2. Heat oil in a kadai add onions fry till golden brown, add ginger garlic and green chilli paste fry for a few mins, add chilli powder, dhania powder, jeera powder, chana masala and garam masala powder fry for few mins
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are well mashed and mixed with the masala and oil leaves the sides. Add the anaardana powder stir fry
  4. Strain the boiled chana keeping the water aside,remove the tea bag,add the chana to the masala stiring gently for a few mins add salt.
  5. Add the boiled chana water as per you want the gravy. Cook for 10 to 15 mins on medium flame till the water dries a little. Serve

But it goes very well with rice. Just mix it with hot rice with a dollop of ghee, folks; you are in food heaven for sure. I am not exaggerating, but Pindi chole with rice is absolutely delicious. Pindi chana or Pindi chole that is often served with Bhature or poori is slightly blackish in colour. This blackish colour usually comes from tea bags.
