Poha tastes best when served with tea in the breakfast. It is also an excellent light yet stomach filling food item to pack in the lunch box. Poha has a slightly longer shelf life and can be used the next day. Originally native to Maharashtra in Western India, poha is a light, fluffy dish made with flattened rice seasoned with onions, potatoes, and warming spices.

Steps to make Poha with tea:
  1. To a strainer, add flattened rice (poha)..Rinse it under running water until it's turns soft..
  2. Now in a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds…after it crackle add peanuts & hing…Now add chopped garlic & onion saute for 2 minutes…Now add potatoes in a pan, add turmeric powder and salt, mix all together well…& Cook it for 2 minutes..
  3. Now potatoes is cooked, add sugar & lemon juice in it mix all together well..
  4. Now add poha in it mix it well..
  5. Garnish poha with save & served it with cuppa chai..
  6. For tea..
  7. Take a utensil..add milk & water..bring it boil…After 1 boil.. add sugar, chay patti & cardamom powder…cook it for 2 minutes…now add ginger paste & mix well..now strain the tea in a cup and served..
